Telstra’s tenth year of attendance at Seymour Alternative Farming Expo

How time flies, its February and time for the Seymour Alternative Farming Expo again. Last year we had Telstra’s “Bluey” the big promotional truck as our stand and what a lot of interest it caused. This year we are back to the more traditional marquee however there will still be a few surprises.

This is the tenth year that Telstra Country Wide will have attended the Seymour Alternative Farming Expo. We have made a lot of friends over the years and are hoping to meet up with many of these people again over the three days that is Seymour.  We are proud to have been able to demonstrate and explain the many changes that have occurred in Telecommunications over this period. Our very first marquee in the middle of the oval we demonstrated “one way satellite internet” as the latest in broadband internet.

I know we have helped many visitors to the Seymour Alternative Farming Expo and will do the same again this year. We have some wonderful memories and some funny stories as well. We will always remember our first Security Guard who purchased a goat on the last morning and the sight of a very tall man and a goat getting into a very small car for the trip back to Melbourne will stay with us forever.

This year our marquee will include a Telstra interactive shopping experience, where the devices are live and you can get the touch and feel before making a decision. There will be a lounge area with T-Box operating to give you the real T-Box experience. There will be a presentation area, were every hour there will be an interactive demonstration by Telstra experts. The topics will include -:

• New Mobile Technologies – what are Smartphone’s                                      
• New Technologies for your home – what are THub & TBox
• Antennas & coverage – improve mobile & wireless broadband
• Top 5 iPhone Applications for your personal life
• Understanding T-Suite for your growing Business
• What is Cloud Computing?

Telstra under CEO David Thodey have a renewed focus on improving customer service, hopefully you have already noticed this change. As we have had for the last ten years, there will be a Telstra Customer Service Team at Seymour. They will be available to help with any Customer Service issues.
